Position Description
Dryer Technicians are responsible for procedures associated with continuous dryer operation, equipment set-up and cleaning, monitoring and testing of final product quality, quality inspections, and equipment operation.
Major Areas of Responsibility
· Assist in department equipment clean-up and set-up.
· Assist in ensuring product quality expectations are exceeded.
· Perform various equipment checks, tanker unloading, tote cleaning and other tasks as assigned by the Manager.
· Perform in-process tests of dried product for quality conformity on a continual basis.
· Sampling of material and IFB material.
· Testing of product with viscometer, moisture analyzer, pH meter, and other in-process testing equipment.
· Review of batch record for completion and proper documentation.
· Perform bulk density measurement.
· Physical attendance is an essential element of the job.
· Follow manufacturing directions to ensure that end user specifications are exceeded.
· Weigh and dump blend materials in the most efficient process with the least amount of commodity waste.
· Practice all company safety policies and procedures daily.

Desirable Education and Experience
· Minimum of High School diploma or GED.
· One year or more of manufacturing experience.
· Experience associated with exceptional work quality / customer service skills.
